Leveraging AI to Develop Client Illustrations for Hire Staff

Recently, we worked with Hire Staff on their rebranding and new website launch. As part of this project, we wanted to explore the possibilities of leveraging AI to assist in our design approach and develop upon their current illustration style.
First things first, why AI for illustrations?

We chose to work with Midjourney over other AI image generators like DALL-E and OpenAI because, through experimentation and testing, we found that Midjourney offers the most creative freedom and flexibility while maintaining superior image quality and coherence. This allows us to produce illustrations that are not only visually stunning but also consistent and tailored to our clients' specific needs.
How we did it?
Understanding the Brand: To achieve the required outputs, we deep dive into the brand's values and visual preferences. This involves close collaboration with our clients to ensure that our creative output resonates with their target audience.
AI-Driven Illustration: Using original artwork and Midjourney together, we generate a variety of illustrations based on specific prompts and parameters. This allows us to explore different styles and elements until we find the perfect match for our clients. A crucial part of this process is identifying a "seed" of initial illustrations that embody the core elements of the brand, such as style and colour. These seed illustrations serve as a foundation from which we can scale and create more illustrations, ensuring consistency and cohesion across all visual materials.
Customisation and Refinement: Once the initial illustrations are generated, it’s time for post-production. We refine the illustrations, tweaking colours, details, and compositions to ensure consistency and appeal across all visual elements.

The final illustrations, as shown below, include various elements representing Hire Staff's services and work environment. From construction tools and safety equipment to detailed character illustrations, each image was crafted to enhance their marketing materials and client presentations.
